If the weather is clear and sunny, check out Peeler Park, part of Nashville’s greenway system.

It’s also home to a Model Airplane Field which has tons of fliers (gas/electric/unpowered) and all models of aircraft are allowed (scroll thru pics to see).  If the weather is good for flying you can almost guarantee that someone will be at Peeler Park flying. There are even picnic tables set up so you can snack and watch. The fliers were so kind and excited to explain how the planes work.

Then head to the Greenway trailhead to explore. There are several trails and you can make your walk as short or long as you want. Also, it’s perfect for scooters because most of it is paved.  We saw several deer and there are a few paths to river access.

Dogs are allowed on leash.  We did not see a bathroom.  Trails are developed recently and not always well marked, so snap a photo of the maps at the entrance point to the greenway.
