A fabulous zoo that will keep families engaged for hours on end.
Plan to spend your entire day or at least a half day at the Philadelphia Zoo in West Philadelphia. As the first zoological society in the country, this zoo continues to be on the forefront of interactive exhibits.
The team at the zoo has put a lot of effort in recent years into developing hands-on components that are wonderful for a variety of ages. A prime example of this is the awesome KidZooU exhibit: a children’s zoo and education center (indoor/outdoor) that offers an opportunity to get close-up to some of the animals, climb to see animals from new vantage points, and dynamic displays.
This space is completely wheelchair accessible and has quiet spaces adjacent to the KidZooU family restroom for nursing or calming little ones.
