A Large Playground, Splashpad, Dog Park, Ball Fields, and a Dog Park Await at this 83-acre Park Located just Outside Phoenix!

Pioneer Community Park is located just west of Phoenix in Peoria. Like many of the parks in this area, it is an amazing spot to bring the family (Phoenix has so many great ones to check out!). This park has six lighted ball fields, plus an additional four lighted multi-purpose fields, a stocked fishing lake, a playground and splash pad, and a picnic area.

The playground and splash pad are great at this park! They are located directly next to each other so the kids can bounce back and forth in the summer. There are multiple slides, climbing features, wiggly balance beams, big kid swings, and baby swings. There is also a smaller play area for the younger kids just past, the larger playground. There is also plenty of seating around the playground (most of it shaded!), so you can watch the kiddos.

The fishing lake is also really great to bring the kids to and let them try their hand at catching a few. It is approximately 5 acres and is stocked throughout the year with fish. You are allowed to keep the fish you catch (up to the daily limit, of course!), and kids under ten years old do not need a fishing license. So be sure to bring those fishing poles! Everyone over the age of ten can purchase a fishing license online through the Arizona Fish and Game.
