Covered and open-air picnic tables are widely available, making Pioneer Park a great place to host a birthday party or get together with other families.

Upon arrival, be prepared for street parking. You'll find street parking that flanks two sides of the park, along 2nd Street and Laurel Street. After parking, head into the park and make your home base at one of the many benches or tables available throughout the park. From there, kids can play at the huge playground or run around the open field. On the playground, kids will adore the many places to run, jump, swing, and play. Encourage kids to play a round of follow the leader or race down the twin slides. Expect the playground to be a flurry of activity, this park is popular among the locals. Your kids are sure to adore making new friends - I know mine did!

Afterward, enjoy a picnic lunch together with a great view! Indoor restrooms are also available on-site for families to use. Additionally, the large picnic shelters are equipped with electricity. There is also a bandshell on the riverside of the park.
