Pizzeria Paradiso in Spring Valley Will Appeal to the Taste Buds of Kids and Adults!

The food is fresh, creative, and delicious at this local restaurant group's Dupont location offering signature wood-fired pizza, salads, and much more. The atmosphere is airy, thanks to an open concept. A welcoming vibe maintained throughout our meal, and the servers are warm and attentive.

Our most recent meal was after the lunch rush, and the server provided dough balls for the kids to play with, in lieu of play-doh, which is a massive step up from the typical crayons and paper, and obviously a big hit with our little ones.

They have great classic pizzas like Quattro Formaggi, Atomica with salami, olives, hot pepper flakes, and mozarella. They also have salads, appetizers, paninis, bruschetta, and other great items.

The pizzas range in price from $14-$21 and there are a variety of other creative options to choose from. There is a parking lot behind the building, as well as street parking, both metered in front and spots located along neighborhood streets. The restaurant is a short distance from Friendship "Turtle" Park and if you want a change of scenery for dessert you can get ice cream and/or an adult beverage after your meal at Millie's. The restaurant is next door and has an ice cream window that is sure to thrill the kids.

Pizerria Paradiso was opened in 1991 and immediately received a lot of positive attention. They were founded because the owners couldn't find the perfect kind of pizza that they love in the D.C. area, so they decided to make it themselves. All pizzas are coooked in a domed wood-burning, stone oven to cook at over 650 degrees. The oven is in the middle of the restaurant which makes the ambience and atmosphere very cozy and inviting.

You can also always order takeout or delivery if you would rather eat in the park or at home for a movie night.

Pizzeria Paradiso has also been giving back to others during this difficult year. They began the Pizzeria Paradiso Family Relief Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign helps those in need who have been deeply affected and are unemployed due to the pandemic.
