Poe’s Tavern is a family-friendly restaurant in Atlantic Beach. It is known for its burgers and fries, and of course, for its Edgar Allan Poe themed menu and vibe. It’s reasonably priced and has a full kids’ menu of burgers, mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and quesadillas. Highchairs are also available. The best part of Poe’s, other than listening to an audio recording of the “Tell-Tale Heart” while visiting the women’s restroom, is its outdoor dining. It sits on the corner of the busy Beaches Town Center and from your spot on their patio, you can enjoy people watching and the bustle of beach life.
The Beaches Town Center is also home to other restaurants, bars, and dessert spots, such as Whit’s Frozen Custard. You can also walk a few blocks down to the ocean. Neptune Beach is south of Atlantic Blvd and Atlantic Beach is north of Atlantic Blvd.
