The jack of all trades; walk, run, bike, bring your dogs and explore Powhite Trail.

Once you pull into the park’s entrance there is street parking on both sides. The road is a dead-end with a roundabout to easily turn around.

The trailhead will be easy to spot, we recommended taking a picture of the map before starting your hike. We did a nice out and back as there are a few hills and I wanted to preserve our energy. Can you relate?! The trail is narrow and runs parallel to a major highway. There is plenty of protection and space from the highway to the trail but the cars are loud on the front part of the trail.

We got excited when we heard a bell ringing behind us. When we looked back, we had a few mountain bikers on the trail. The bikers were great about giving us plenty of notice they were approaching us. It’s a great reminder, these trail are multi-purpose if you have little ones running ahead.

We suggest bringing a picnic lunch, when you are done with your hike, grab your lunch and blanket and set up under a shade tree on the large green area they have next to the parking lot.
