Queen Anne Farm in Mitchellville, Maryland is a great place to take the whole family!

There are many small, local farms to support during harvest season, and we have been to many, but Queen Anne’s in Mitchellville, Maryland, deserves a mention. This family owned, fully operational farm is laid back and serves up the warm, natural feel of a local gem. Beginning October 1st, the farm celebrates Fall’s festival with a corn maze, farm animals, a hayride, seasonal decor perfect for amazing photo opportunities, and of course, a great selection of pumpkins and truly delicious produce, pastries, and cider. The decor includes beautiful mums (flowers) in a variety of colors and pumpkins as big as 200 pounds. They even have a pumpkin house that kids can go into! If you are in a rush or don't want to go to the trouble of scooping, Queen Anne Farm has a selection of pre-cleaned and pre-carved pumpkins to take home with you on Halloween or the day before! Call ahead to make sure they are still available before making the trip.

Beginning in June they have a Farm Market every day where they sell their produce as well as the produce of other local Maryland farms. If you're in the area and in need of some fresh produce it is worth a visit.  Their produce is farm fresh and locally grown in the Maryland Countryside! They offer produce such as watermelon, peaches, potatoes, green beans, sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, okra, squash, and so much more! Of course their pumpkins are also available in the fall. The farmers market is open 7 days a week starting June 18 and normally goes from 10am to 5pm. You can buy tickets to their events online on their website.
