Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, located in famed Union Station is a classic stop for making family memories!

This place is so fun! And the fact that it's located in the most gorgeous, historic old train station really ups the wow factor of this sweet shop. Located inside Kansas City's famous Union Station, this sweet shop is bursting with yummy treats for the whole family!

Rocky Mountain is known for their delicious caramel apples, though there's so much more to this sweet shop than just these. Still, when we visit special places, we try to at least give their specialty a try. The flavors of caramel apples were the most creative I've ever seen! They had everything from Apple Pie, Pecan Apple, and Cookie 'n Creme Apple, to Rocky Road and Peanutbutter Apples. They all looked amazing! We highly recommend trying out at least one caramel apple, and recommend the Pecan Caramel Apple or Snickers Caramel Apple. But, let's be serious, you can't go wrong with any of these tasty treats!

Parking outside Union Station does consist of a paid lot, but with so much to offer inside Union Station, including delicious coffee shops, restaurants, and even a planetarium, it's definitely worth the nominal fee. Plus, since you're downtown Kansas City, you should really be expecting to have to pay for parking at some stops you make in the city. The parking is paid via a machine outside the entrance, so you'll need to bring along your credit or debit card.

After picking up a tasty treat here, head next door to Parisi Coffee for a delicious latte or hot cocoa to pair with your sweet treat!
