Russ Garaman Park in Jackson is a cute, simple park, mostly fun when the weather is warmer and the river is low. Right along the bike path after you cross over scenic Flat Creek, you’ll come upon a small covered picnic area with a well-maintained restroom and a water fountain. Beside that is the most perfect climbing tree a child could ask for and a widened, shallow, slow-moving Flat Creek, where children like to explore and dip their toes in. We like to bring our toy fishing rods and see if we can spot any fish to say hello to!
