Play Near Edwin Warner Park on this Cute Playground!

Sam's Playground is located at the edge of Edwin Warner Park, Percy Warner Park and very close to Bellevue and the intersection of Old Hickory, Highway 100, and Bellevue Road.  That makes it a great place to head after a family hike in one of the many large parks in the area.  Your kids will love having the reward of a playground post-hike!

It's a small and basic park but it is clean, well-kept, and has a few picnic tables and benches.  Features include a climbing area with a couple of slides as well as a swing set.  It is best for children around 6 and under due to the size of the equipment.  There is also a large field where kids can kick a ball or run around and play a spontaneous game.  The highlight for my kids was seeing the train go by (the playground borders a train track behind the bushes).  The train can get loud, so be warned for those with sensitive ears.

For food nearby:

  • Brunch: You can also head before or after you play to Loveless Café for their famous biscuits, which is only 4 miles away from the city down Highway 100.
  • Treats: You can also head before or after you play to Hey Sugar for their yummy custard, which is only 4 miles towards the city on Highway 100.

Note: there is not a lot of shade and we did not see any bathrooms on site.

Also note: the playground is not contained with a fence, etc. so you need to keep a good eye on children.
