Sandy Pines serves up great glamping in Beautiful Kennebunkport!

Located less than a 2-hour drive from Boston in Kennebunkport, ME, Sandy Pines is a wonderful camping/glamping site. The site offers tent camping, RV hookups and single, couple and family cottages. There is a heated saltwater pool, kids playground, lawn games and cute general store for all of your camping needs. There are tent sites, RV sites, seasonal rentals as well as the glamping cabin that we stay in. You can pull your car right up to your cabin and park real close so you don’t have to worry about carrying all of your gear.

The grounds were nice and clean, especially the bathrooms. We enjoyed the family cottage which had a mini-fridge, A/C and heating, and a beautifully decorated King bed and two twin beds for my boys! The cabins are very cute inside and all have different themes to them. Outside was a fire pit for cooking and lounging with a picnic table and some Adirondack chairs.

The marsh area is cute to walk by and explore the different birds and animals. Keep in mind that it can get buggy so make sure to pack your bug spray! The campgrounds are great to bike ride around but cars can drive and park close to their cabins and tents so keep that in mind.

You are allowed to bring up to two of your furry friends with you, the price is $5 per dog.

You can rent kayaks and paddleboards directly from the campsite or take a quick drive to the ocean. Kayak Excursions were wonderful - super helpful and friendly!

The Head of Accounting and Boston Ambassador, Jenny has been living in Boston for almost 10 years. Before Boston, she lived in Washington, DC for 8 years, and previous to that grew up on Long Island, NY. Along the way, she spent a few months in Amsterdam with her family biking all around and exploring that beautiful city! Jenny has always enjoyed being active - from organized sports to jogging, and of course, being in the garden as much as possible when the weather is cooperative. She tries to include her children in all of her active hobbies. With two toddler boys, ages 3 and 5, she and her husband spend their time discovering new places and things to do in the New England area. Spending time outdoors in all types of weather and encouraging her children to love all seasons is very important to her - and so is helping and encouraging others to do the same. Jenny and her family love spending time at the beach, traveling, taking walks and hikes, and of course, finding new playgrounds!
