Schuylkill Center is located on the highest point in Philadelphia PA. Housed on 340 acres it includes a Nature Center and miles of hiking trails. The Nature Center houses interactive exhibits, environmental art gallery, green roof, gift shop, and public restrooms. Outside kids can enjoy the mud playground and rain yard. The Center offers a variety of activities, including guided family hikes on Saturday mornings. Take a picnic and let the kids enjoy getting dirty exploring the variety of trails that meander through fields and past ponds. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the trails so you can feel safe letting them run free. The Center also runs a preschool; as well as summer camps and after school educational programs.
