The Seattle Bouldering Project is from the outside a very unassuming warehouse situated in Columbia City. Once inside it is an exciting environment filled with colorful climbing walls, and people of all ages and experiences. Bouldering looks a lot like rock climbing without the harnesses. These walls aren't quite as tall as rock climbing walls, and offer different routes appropriate for each skill level. It’s a great way to experience something new and challenging together. It is such a joy to watch trust build between climbers and those encouraging them from below. They host classes by skill level, and have smaller spaces open for party reservations. If you want to climb without an instructor they will give you a quick safety rundown before you head out on the walls. This facility is much more than a climbing gym. It has two floors with a full gym, vegan restaurant, cafe, and bar on the first. They come fully equipped with shoe rentals, accessible bathrooms, showers, lockers, and open cubbies to store shoes and jackets while you climb.
