Enjoy one of Nashville's best parks!

Shelby Park is home to 2 playgrounds, a greenway and numerous walking paths, a pond, a dog park, baseball fields, green space and more. But what we love most about it, other than its beauty, is its playgrounds and paved paths. The first playground is located next to the community center. This playground has a play structure, swings (baby and regular), picnic tables, and greenspace. It’s also located next to the tennis courts and the dog park. There is parking available next to the playground. There is also a beautiful path that runs along the dog park down into the rest of the park. It gives you great views of the pond, trees, and open space. It's a lovely downhill stroll, and a good workout coming back up.

Down further in the park is the “Red Park.” This park is slightly larger with more features for small children, such as a baby slide and tunnel. There are also swings, but no baby swings. It’s surrounded by open fields, a small creek, and paths that lead to the greenway. You can follow one of the paths north towards the pond (~.25 miles) and enjoy feeding the ducks or admiring the scenery, or you can take the path east (~.25 miles) and meet up with the Shelby Bottoms Greenway, which will lead you towards the Nature Center and nature play area.  This is parking available here as well in the lot next to the Red Playground.
