A Spacious Family-Friendly Restaurant In Annandale

Silverado is part of the Great American Restaurant Group that includes familiar favorites Coastal Flats, Sweetwater and The Carlyle. There are different dining areas and a large bar in the center. There are both tables and booths and seating is fast and efficient.

The children were each treated to an Etch A Sketch, which is one of the best ideas I've seen in lieu of paper and crayons. They remained occupied until the food came and then again after they finished their meals.

The Best Buns Bread and Sticky Buns are signatures from another one of the company's businesses, Best Buns in Shirlington. They were absolutely memorable. The kid's menu is not long but it checks all the right boxes - from chicken fingers to tenderloin steak and they have several different kid-friendly sides to choose from.

It was nice to see the "kid's cups" were actually very sturdy glasses with covers like the tops of to-go coffee cups as seen in the picture. This is a great solution for the excessive waste produced by plastic kids cups. They also didn't require straws thus eliminating even more waste.

The Brunch menu is diverse and there is something for everyone. Lunch and dinner offer an equally appealing variety of options. The salads are even well constructed, creative and dressed perfectly.

The service is attentive and the staff is warm and welcoming.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is a seven-minute drive away at Annandale Community Park. There are hiking trails to get some exercise after a delicious meal.
