A family-friendly adventure awaits at Ski Lake!

While hiking in the park is fun and exciting, it is always nice when you find a great hike within the town! I consider Ski Lake to be an amazing local and close-to-town hike considering it is moderately easy with only 800 feet of elevation gain and 4 miles of amazing views all the way up to! This is also a good spot to see hundreds of wildflowers in the summer and to bring your furry friend if you have one. To get to the trailhead, you drive up the Teton Pass until you see the sign for Philips Canyon. People often mountain bike, ski, and hike from here, so there is a convenient parking area at the bottom where you hike up to the trailhead. If you would rather be closer, there is also the option to park on the dirt road leading up to the trail. Once you've made it to the actual lake at the top, you have the option to relax, or you can continue even higher on a second trail. Regardless of where you decide to end, Ski Lake is fun for everyone and provides a great escape from town.

There are no bathrooms at the trailhead but you can stop at the Village Transit Center/Stilson just two miles down the road beforehand to use their facilities in an emergency.
