Ski Ward is a fun ski mountain less than an hour from Boston!

Between tubing, skiing and snowboarding this is a convenient mountain to check out. Located about a 50-minute drive west from Boston this hill features nine different trails with four lifts. It also boasts eight lanes of tubing.  The nine trails feature three expert trails (black), three intermediate runs (blue) and three ideal for beginners (green). The four lifts feature one triple chair, one T-bar, one handle tow and one carpet for families with beginners of all ages. The tubing park features eight lanes and two lifts and is located just beyond the ski school area.  Plenty of snowboarding and skiing school options are available during the week as well as on the weekend including during scheduled school breaks. The beginner hill is a nice slope and the instructors are patient and knowledgeable. Night skiing is available as well as a fun bonus.

Outdoor seating is available and there are plenty of great food and drink options including a good variety of local adult beverages. It's a perfectly located spot where you can watch your kid learn while you enjoy a snack or drink. Plenty of picnic tables are located along the bottom of the hill where you can also relax and watch your child.

Parking is free but spots fill up quickly and the lot does get muddy so plan accordingly. There is a section by the lift ticket area that you can pull up and drop off or pick up.

Check the resort websites for lift tickets, hours and ski rental rates.

Jennifer de Merode
The Head of Accounting and Boston Ambassador, Jenny has been living in Boston for almost 10 years. Before Boston, she lived in Washington, DC for 8 years, and previous to that grew up on Long Island, NY. Along the way, she spent a few months in Amsterdam with her family biking all around and exploring that beautiful city! Jenny has always enjoyed being active - from organized sports to jogging, and of course, being in the garden as much as possible when the weather is cooperative. She tries to include her children in all of her active hobbies. With two toddler boys, ages 3 and 5, she and her husband spend their time discovering new places and things to do in the New England area. Spending time outdoors in all types of weather and encouraging her children to love all seasons is very important to her - and so is helping and encouraging others to do the same. Jenny and her family love spending time at the beach, traveling, taking walks and hikes, and of course, finding new playgrounds!
