This large Fairfax County park has many hilly spots perfect for sledding, especially near the amphitheater and play structure.
There are a parking lot and restrooms located near the tennis courts.
When there isn't snow on the ground, this park has plenty of amenities to enjoy like nature trails, a basketball court, tennis courts, a picnic area, and a playground. There is even an amphitheater where concerts and events are held in the warmer months but can double as a stage for kids to play on!
If you are willing to eat outside in the snow, you could easily pack a snack or pick up lunch to enjoy in between sledding runs!
There is a small pond here so make sure to keep children away from the edge of the water and warn them never to walk onto a frozen pond since the ice may break.
