Step into the past at this quaint coffee shop, housed in the historical Smith-Douglas-More House.

Now, I'm a lover of beautiful, historical architecture, so you know I was super excited to combine two things I really love: coffee, and beautiful architecture. This coffee shop is nestled inside the stunning Smith-Douglas-More House, which dates way back to 1877. I know, I know, you're thinking, "well, my kids don't care about pretty architecture!" but they do care about yummy eats, and if they're anything like my kiddos, they just love checking out new places and seeing different shops.

This coffee shop, while still located in a quite populated suburb, is set aside from the main downtown. However, its location is still really close to all the restaurants, shops, and parks you could want. There's also a movie theater a stone's throw away in downtown Eden Prairie.

This shop has absolutely delicious, hand-crafted coffees, and amazing and yummy eats with clearly fresh and high quality ingredients. Their muffins are amazing...fresh, moist, and worth every bite. Other bakery specialties include monkey bread, croissants, and coffee cake. Likewise, their breakfast sandwiches are all incredible, and yes, they also serve fresh avocado toast, if trendy is what you're looking for. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose to order here.

After enjoying the historic vibes of this gorgeous old home, and delicious coffee or eats, head right over to Staring Lake Park for some outdoor fun - spoiler alert, it has fantastic equipment including a triple slide, which my girls absolutely loved (and mommy did too).
