Family-Friendly Food with Kid-Friendly Activities.

Wyoming’s oldest brewery has everything you may crave after a long day of work or play. The large, grassy lawn outdoors is filled with fun yard games, mini-golf, and a stone fire pit surrounded by benches that will draw you and your kids in even if you’re just passing by (mostly available outside of prime winter season). The naturally lit, industrial-style building has massive pieces of active brewing equipment planted amongst dining areas and it’s almost guaranteed you’ll catch a brewer in action. The first floor is strictly 21 and older, but the upstairs is more spacious for children and has a variety of games to play. If the weather is nice, don’t miss the chance to sit in one of the two outdoor seating areas.

The fare is best summed up as simple, honest, and yummy pub food. It wouldn’t be a proper Snake River Brewing experience if you didn’t start out with a homemade pretzel (or three) and a house-brewed SNB beer. Some additional staples include burgers, bison chili, California pizza, and steak tacos. As you can tell, the variety of food options features something for everyone especially if comfort food is what appeals to you while kicking back with a locally brewed beer. The kids' menu includes chicken fingers, mac and cheese, burgers, and pizza as well. Cups with lids are not available so plan to bring a sippy cup if it is needed. The healthy options are limited, but they do offer a nice salad and several appetizers that are on the lighter side.

Emily Coleman
Emily Coleman is a Jersey girl born and raised who caught the outdoor bug upon moving to Vermont to pursue a degree in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College. She spent most of her years before college deeply entrenched in the world of competitive cheerleading before discovering a passion for outdoor sports including mountain biking, white water kayaking, bikepacking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, and skiing. Having been surrounded by children her entire life in her mother's daycare, she always had a strong affinity for kids. She moved to the mountains of Jackson Hole after graduating to coach for the local Kayak Club during the summers and nanny in the winters. Becoming a part of the Happy Active Family team felt like the perfect collision of her passion for building strong community bonds and encouraging an outdoor lifestyle.
