Specific Gravity Pizzeria and Beer Joint in Salisbury, Maryland

When you ask around for family-friendly restaurants in Salisbury, Maryland you’ll hear the same thing a lot: “You’ve got to go to Specific Gravity.” We were smart enough to take the suggestion and I am not exaggerating when I say that Specific Gravity serves some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten.

Not only does this kid-friendly restaurant offer a variety of delicious food, they’ve also got the beer lovers covered. They offer a huge selection of bottles and draughts that include everything from microbrews to mainstream beers.

The restaurant does offer high chairs and boosters but if you’re bringing little kids along, you’ll want to arrive early. Salisbury is a college town and, as you can imagine, a restaurant that serves amazing pizza in a college town can get busy.

The space is small but cozy and has only a few tables that would work for families with babies or toddlers. We arrived at around 5:00 and had no problem snagging one of the large booths that’s available, but we were advised that the restaurant starts filling up around 6:00 or 6:30.

If you’ve got older kids that can handle a high top, you’ve got a little more flexibility in your seating options and could likely arrive at a slightly later time. There’s also a small patio area that is available when the weather is nice. Be advised, the restaurant does not offer coloring pages so you’ll want to bring your own!

If you’re in the area visiting the Salisbury Zoo or Ben’s Red Swings, I would highly recommend a stop at Specific Gravity for some pizza!

She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore.
