Strachauer Park has so much to offer in all seasons!

What this 5-acre park lacks in size, it more than makes up for in features. It surely packs a lot of fun into a small space. I also like that this park is very conveniently located. It's just north of the freeway, and Edina is a tier 1 suburb, so you're very close to everything you could want...shops, restaurants, movie theaters, everything.

This park has two soccer fields and a basketball court, if you're looking to play ball games. Our family often visits parks and, if there's a soccer field open, we'll take out our ball and kick it around together as a family.

For wintertime fun, Strachauer Park features an outdoor ice rink and warming house (yes, the warming house is key in Minnesota winters!). So, don't forget your ice skates if you come here in the colder months. There are restrooms on-site, as well as a shelter building. The ice rink is well-kept, which some local rinks are not. If you've never been ice skating outdoors before, let me just tell you that the maintenance of the rink is everything.

The girls loved the playground here, and it had plenty to keep them happy! There were climbing structures, slides, and more. They loved that there was a big kid teeter-totter...those are always a hit in our family. There was also a tunnel to crawl through, and swings to swing on. I don't know why, but the kids adore the tunnels! It's super nice that this park has restrooms, and they're actual restrooms, not porta-potties, which is great. Overall, this park has everything we could need for some playground time.

After enjoying Strachauer Park, head over to Patrick's Bakery & Cafe for some tasty treats!
