A fun fully gated park with nearby water fountain and abundant food options.

Just took the ferry to the city from the east bay? What to explore a little before you head home?  In The Embarcadero checking out the ferry building? On your way to Pier 39?
Sue Beirman Park full of grassy lawns, a huge water fountain, and a playground.
The playground is gated and has two structures, a giant climbing dome (with rope ladders and more), swings (bucket and standard), teeter totter, and spinning cup.
The smaller structure is shaped like a boat! There is a slide, steps, rope ladder, hammock underneath, a look out deck up top with wheel and binoculars, and benches inside. The perfect play spot for a boat/pirate loving kid.
The larger structure has a long slide and a bottomless sideless slide, steps, rock climbing, and monkey bars. Its a pretty tall structure so the climbing wall gets a bit out of reach if you are spotting a newer climber.
Across the grass is the GIANT water fountain that you can walk under and take steps up to the top. (Definitely don’t go in the water though)
While there aren’t bathrooms close to the playground, it’s right across from the ferry building which has bathrooms as well as food This playground is a great option for visitors and city dwellers alike and with so much to do across the street it can be the perfect addition to a full fun day in the city.

Street parking is available but public transit is highly recommeneded.

Jessie relocated to the Bay Area in 2013 to be a high school math teacher and since has gotten married, has two kids, and is now a SAHM, stay/slay at home mom. She enjoys working on her embroidery crafts and taking her kids to local playgrounds and regional nature parks, both of which were activities she became passionate about during the pandemic when she needed an outlet and a way to maintain her mental health. She loves encouraging local families and visitors alike to laugh, play, and explore. There’s so much to see and do so get outside and do it! #amom2kidsandapark
