The Familiar Favorite Has Moved to Tenleytown, With A New and Improved Look And An Even Better Menu!!

Surfside Glover Park has been a staple for years on the DC restaurant landscape. People often resist change, but even the most loyal Glover Park regulars will be absolutely thrilled at this expanded, enhanced and polished new version.

The huge open kitchen overlooks much of the space, except for the large, beautiful private room toward the back of the restaurant. There are both booths, tables and high tops throughout the main dining room, and the bar is brilliantly designed for speed and easy access with a massive window open to the large patio area. The walls of the patio can come down during the warmer months, but with quite a few high top tables, this area will be a comfortable place to eat or drink year-round.

The staff was enthusiastic and informed, and the food and drinks we ordered on both visits were really on point. The atmosphere is more polished, with full table service, which will prevent kids from running around while you sort out the order, so I'd expect parents will have a far more relaxing time.

There was a very long, impressive menu, with an excellent variety of appetizers and something for everyone in terms of entrees. It was very difficult to narrow down my decision on both occasions. We ordered their delicious dips while we looked over the menu, and the little ones enjoyed the corn appetizer. It gave them something healthy and delicious to hold them over while we read through the menu. They have thought of everything for the kids, and the kid's menu is diverse and the sides are perfect. They even have a frozen drink option for kids, or someone seeking a virgin cocktail, which I considered for my little ones in lieu of dessert.

This is sure to be both a family and date night favorite, as the layout is appropriate for maintaining both vibes. Nearby destinations before or after with children include the Hearst Recreation Center Playground (less than a ten-minute walk) and the Tenley-Friendship Neighborhood Library.

The restaurant also offers parking validation in the adjacent garage and it is less than half a mile from the Tenleytown metro.

Additionally, Surfside Dupont operates 24-hours a day at 1800 N Street NW.
