Salads, warm bowls and more in DC's Glover Park.

Motivated by sustainability, and with all elements of your meal prepared from scratch, you can feel confident feeding yourself and your children at this rapidly growing chain. The menu changes to use foods that are in season, and there are curated salads and warm bowls with a quinoa base, as well as the option to create your own. There is no specific kids menu, but a variety of ingredients that appeal to most children.

Salads and bowls range between $10 and $20 depending on how many premium add-ins (goodies like hard boiled eggs, roasted chicken and warm portabello mushrooms cost extra) you desire to add, with fresh bread and a range of delicious dressings included complementary with your meal. You can create your own salad or bowl assembly line style or choose from their premade and seasonal menu. Drinks like kombucha and craft sodas are available to quench your thirst, keeping with the craft and local ethos of the chain.

Each space is unique, designed with the individual location and building in mind, but they are all clean, bright and airy. Download the app for optimum convenience - you can preorder or just come in prepared for all the great options you'll have to choose from.

This location is only a ten minute walk from Guy Mason Playground and Rec Center, one of our favorite playgrounds in the city. Their metal slide is always a favorite. Another great park, Dumbarton Oaks, is ten minutes in the other direction and is sure to please all. This park is like an oasis, with extensive gardens and a kid-friendly museum.  If you want to go indoors, Georgetown Neighborhood Library is within walking distance as well and always has something for your kid to enjoy.

Randi (Betts) Banks grew up in New York and graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She moved to Washington, D.C. more than thirteen years ago with her husband, Eaghmon, and they love to explore the area and seek out adventure, now with their two young children along for the ride. Growing up right near the beach, they are happiest when on or near the water, so exploring the rivers, lakes, and streams in the greater DC area is a favorite pastime for their family. In addition to serving as one of the Washington, DC area ambassadors, Randi is also the Editor in Chief and Co-founder of happyly.
