An easy drive from Boise along scenic highway 55, Terrace Lakes Resorts is a family-friendly adventure you will love.

Terrace Lakes is located in Garden Valley which is a little over an hour drive from Boise, ID. Terrace Lakes has a hot springs swimming pool which is 2' feet to 10' feet deep and open all year round. We love taking a day trip up to Terrace Lakes Hot Springs and enjoy all that they have to offer. Once you park your car which is right at the pool you can access the entire property. Terrace Lakes has a full 18 hole golf course, restaurant and bar, hotel and cabin accommodations and hot springs pool. During the winter months, the golf course turns into the best sledding hill. We like to hit the sledding hill first then go into the hot springs. At the hot springs pool, they have men's and women's changing bathrooms that offer showers and plenty of room to store your stuff while you are soaking.

Terrace Lakes has two restaurants and bars to enjoy drinks and food at the property. We like to splurge and get an adult beverage at the hot springs pool and the pool attendants will take your order and serve you a drink while you're soaking. A quick tip, kids will get hungry and thirsty so bring snacks/water, so the kids can sit outside of the pool with their feet in and have a snack. We love to bring easy, accessible snacks like GoGo SqueeZ pouches and Zbars to make it easy to get back in the pool and continue to have fun. They have life jackets for all ages available for free to use if you forget to bring a floaty and plenty of noodles for floating as well. You can also rent towels and suits for $1 if you forgot to bring enough for everyone.

After our time at the hot springs pool, we end our day at the restaurant which offers a wide range of amazing kid-friendly items and great options for the whole family. Our family loves to get the Terrace Lake burger, chicken quesadillas, and wings to fill everyone up before the drive home. After a day at the hot springs and a full belly, you will surely have a nice quiet ride home.

If you do decide to stay at the Terrace Lakes Resort only book one of the cabins - we recommend Cabin 10. Take our advice and do not book the motel rooms, they do not accommodate families or more than two people and have very thin walls. Judy is the hotel manager and will take great care of you.

Terrace Lakes has so much to offer for the whole family all year round and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
