The Barrel

The Barrel is unique in that it has many different titles depending on who you ask. Some people might say its a craft beer bar, others may call it a dog park, while some still might claim it’s a music venue.  That’s because it is, in fact, all three.. and it’s on the water!  What more could you need?  The Barrel is a favorite of ours, we try to take our pup (pictured below) at least once a week.  The venue is majority outside with a small bar and restrooms located inside.  The outside area is split in down the middle with one side hosting picnic tables and games such as shuffle board and cornhole, while the other half is a terf field with a large wooden stage.  The entire outside space backs up to the marsh which provides a beautiful backdrop (especially at sunset-no filter below). Enjoy one of over 30 craft beers and relax while the kids and dogs play.  Stop by Thursday-Sunday for food from various local food trucks that set up in the parking lot.  If you decide to check out The Barrel during the summer, you’re likely to catch some live music by a local band, but make sure you bring some bug spray and sunscreen with you!
