Learn About the Areas Past and Present

Located in the heart of St. Michaels, this museum has a great variety of interesting permanent and special exhibitions focused on the history of the massive Chesapeake Bay, as well as a working waterfront devoted to proactive projects to further elevate the story of the Chesapeake. It includes ten building that are open to the public, many of which are old seafood packing warehouses. Small craft rentals, from sailboats to paddleboats, are typically available for day use as part of the apprentice program.

Hollis Park is right in the museum's backyard, and their boat themed playground is always a hit. Stop there for some play time! If you need lunch, walk to Eat Sprout Cafe, they have great grab and go options for a picnic lunch! Jojo's Cupcakes and Cream is also nearby if you're looking for a sweet treat to end your day!
