The Italian store has a variety of sandwiches, pizza, and other foods that everyone will love. 

We have been going to this shop in the Lyon Village Shopping Center for years. The food is fresh and delicious, from the meats and cheeses used in their great selection of sandwiches, to the best New York style pizza we have come across in Arlington. The homemade pasta variety is perfect for stocking your freezer, and there is an amazing selection of imported wines and groceries at generally competitive prices.

The store is often very busy (especially around lunch time) but it is worth the wait and they have a coordinated system for making sure you don't get passed by in line. Pizza can be directly ordered as well, so no need to wait for the line of sandwich orders to grab a quick slice, and there is more than one place to pay so the line to checkout moves along quickly. There is a parking lot available, and a Starbucks, Giant and CVS just steps away.

Food from here, especially the pizza, can make great picnic material. Tuckahoe Park isn't too far away and is a great place to picnic. Potomac Overlook Nature Center is a little farther away but is a great place to hike, picnic, and enjoy a meal.
