A fantastic aquarium in downtown Seattle - a memorable activity for all ages!

The Seattle aquarium is a perfect place for a day downtown with the entire family. Located on Puget Sound, this aquarium has got to be one of the best in the country. Focused on local species, there is a glass dome under the sound where you can watch native fish and sea life exist. Kids of all ages can enjoy the touch tank, and pet sea anemones, or pick up a starfish.

The star of the show has got to be the octopus. Sometimes with more than one to see there are always employees near the tank to answer questions and give a few fun facts.

Not only can you spend hours watching the animals, but there are also plenty of hands-on educational areas to learn about the local ecosystem and how we can sustain it. The section between indoor and outdoor exhibits shows the life cycles of salmon, an integral part of the survival of many other animals.

There are always activities planned for kids which they have on the Seattle Aquarium website, as well as special events for most holidays. If you plan on taking advantage of more than one activity on the waterfront, you might want to consider buying a Seattle City Pass for a better deal on tickets.

There is timed ticketing and plan-ahead pricing, so you can get a better price if you order online and plan earlier! You can also use CityPass or your member reservations.
