A memorable piece of the Seattle downtown landscape, offering gorgeous views for the whole family!

The Seattle Great Wheel has got to be the most recognizable part of the Seattle skyline next to the Space Needle, of course. This is another great opportunity to use your Seattle City Pass. If you are spending the day in museums and tourist attractions, this pass booklet is the best way to save some money.

The Seattle Great Wheel at Pier 57 also has beautiful light shows at night! The wheel is covered in over 500,000 LED lights that put on quite a show every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 10pm. On holidays and special events, there are special themed light shows. You can even get a custom light show from the Seattle Great Wheel for any kind of wedding, party, baby gender reveal, or event.

The great wheel is much more height-fearing-friendly than a normal Ferris wheel. With enclosed glass pods you can escape seasonal heat in the air conditioning and still get a great view of the city on one side, and Alki Beach on the other. You might be able to see the Olympic mountains on a clear day as well. The ride is about 15-minutes long, and the pods are fully accessible for wheelchairs.

If your child can't stop talking about their Great Wheel Experience, you can purchase a children's book called "The Great Wheel Adventure." This book is a tale about Gabe and Betty, two siblings who explore all over Seattle and their most popular sights to see.
