Located on Straight Wharf, The Tavern is best known for its ‘Gazebo’ bar and delicious lobster roll. For families, it has plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space and is surrounded by lots of open space to get in some extra running around before dinner. It’s easily walkable from the ferries, town, and many of the main attractions there. The restaurant features classic Nantucket seafood, burgers, and salads. There is a great kids menu as well as a good beer and wine selection. 

The restaurant is a short walk from the Children's Beach and Jetties Beach is a short car ride away. The Discovery Playground at Hinsdale Park is nearby as well, and it's the best playground in town.
