Leap at the chance to experience this spectacular children's museum!

This epic children’s museum, located in the Mueller neighborhood, is home to one of the coolest playgrounds ever with multiple levels, textures, crawl spaces, and slides – even adults love it!

Inside, because it does get hot here, the Thinkery offers hands-on and fun exhibits to get kids of all ages about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. However, as the planned programming is aimed at kids 12 and younger, teens might be a little "too cool for school." On Monday and Saturday mornings, the museum hosts Baby Bloomers, for the wee-est of ones (0-3 years old) and their families. This curated event gives babes a chance to explore the space in their own time, encourages hands-on learning, and – of course – learning through play. What makes it especially great is that free play is also encouraged in several gallery spaces. The museum also offers workshops, camps, and clubs for kiddos of all ages, which is a great way to get kids involved in social activities while stimulating the brain cells.

And, like any good museum, the Thinkery also has rotating exhibits that encourage problem-solving and creative thinking. But unlike most adult-inclined museums, pretty much every gallery allows for hands-on, play-based learning. Bonus, every month, the Thinkery stays open late for their "adult nights," with cocktails, themes, and hands-on adult fun that provides a pretty cute date night.

If the kids get hungry, never fear food is quite literally everywhere. Kerby Lane offers all-day breakfast and healthy, diner-inspired options (also plenty of vegetarian and a couple of vegan choices too!). Also nearby is the Mueller Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie option, but be warned tickets sell out quickly at Alamo so if you're leaning in the direction, best to plan ahead of time.
