Three Lakes Park playground has lots of options for all ages!

Three Lakes Park playground is an enormous playground that offers so much for children of all ages. Parking is easy and convenient, directly in front of the large playground. As you enter, there is a Little Free Library, so pack books to donate if you have some. There are two separate playgrounds. The larger one is for older children. It has ramps, slides, twisty fire poles, monkey bars.

There are two big kid swings, two baby swings, and two adaptive swings with back support. The base of both playgrounds is mulch. There are also three little animals for children to climb or sit on. These inspire imaginative play while incorporating gross motor skills!

Across a small field is a smaller playground, a tot lot. This is appropriate for new walkers through age five. There are two spring ride-on toys, small slides, and ladders. There are also two big kids and two baby swings beside this playground. The bathrooms are directly beside this playground. When it comes time to take a snack break, picnic tables are in front of the restroom building. There is also a large picnic pavilion past the large playground and two picnic tables above the large playground, where you can see the entire area. If you have a child who gets nervous about new places or playing where there's a crowd, it would be nice to start up here, so they could take in the whole area before joining in the fun.

The playgrounds are surrounded by a paved path, which is in the view from both playgrounds. So, if you have an older child who's comfortable on a bike or scooter, pack it! Then, your child could ride or scoot while you supervise a younger sibling from the playgrounds, and you would still be able to see the path. There is a bike rack at the front of the playground to keep the bikes safe.

Head to North Park Branch once you've finished playing on the playground. This Henrico County Public Library hosts many children's programs and has a large children's section.
