Updated playground in quiet Vienna neighborhood is a super spot for small children!

Tysons Woods Park and Playground feature a lot of new, colorful and exciting playground features packed into a fairly small play area. It is very easy to keep an eye on all your kids and the older child and younger child play areas are very close together.

There are two regular swings, two baby swings and one large disc swing. Two small play structures with slides, a playhouse, monkey bars and some ride-ons make up the rest of the playground. Some playgrounds can be very overwhelming or the structures too tall for the smallest kids but our toddler really enjoyed everything there was to do here. There is some shade on the playground but hats and sunscreen would help on sunnier days!

The playground is very close to where you park at the end of the cul-de-sac on Overlook Drive. The cul-de-sac is not large but there is enough room for 8-10 cars.

There are no restrooms here, but a short walk from the playground is an exceptionally large picnic area under the trees. The path from the playground to the picnic area is paved, flat and stroller-friendly. If you keep walking on the path, you will soon connect with the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, a major recreational trail in the area that runs from Arlington to Purcellville. This trail is completely stroller and bike-friendly for an adventure before or after the playground!

Tysons Woods is a seven-minute drive from the Mosaic District in Merrifield with some great restaurant options like Matchbox for pizza or Sweetgreen for a salad on the go.
