Spacious park with grassy play area, baseball field and fenced-in dog park!

Across the street from the Barrington Recreation Center, is Barrington Park which includes spacious fields and a fenced-in Dog park. This park is great for running around, kicking a soccer ball and appreciating the fluffy pampas grasses that sway in the wind, curating the peaceful feel.

In a city like LA it can be hard to find grass but here is a breath of fresh GREEN. If you’re worried about social distancing at a playground, a park like this is great. It’s more spacious than the recreation center making it good for roaming and rolling around but still safe with its fenced enclosure. The bigger kids may like the added bonus of a baseball pitch and soccer nets.

And last but not least, while you’re there you can dog watch! Or bring your dog and have them mingle. There is a leash-less, fenced-in dog park.

Overall, the park has a wonderful family vibe perfect for Sundays and is close to food options at Clark Street and treat options at Yogurt Shoppe

Hannah Menakaya grew up in New Hampshire, eventually leaving to go to school in DC at Georgetown University. She developed her passion for traveling when she spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. While there she explored the beautiful landscape and wildlife of the country and ventured into neighboring countries such as Botswana and Zimbabwe. Upon graduation, Hannah spent a year teaching English in Spain and traveling whenever she could. The highlight of her jet setting career was living on a boat in Mykonos, Greece, and sleeping in the Sahara desert in Morocco. Since then, Hannah landed in Los Angeles where she pursues her ultimate passion - storytelling. While she seeks to tell stories from those in the margins, she finds time to get outside and remember the serenity of nature amidst the Hollywood hustle. Feeling the sand, seeing the birds, and listening to the waves are her ideas of balance and harmony. If you ask her, she’s a professional wellness seeker, smoothie bowl artista and part-mermaid… but according to LinkedIn, she works for the production company that made Queer Eye.
