The Village Baptist Church right off old 98 in Destin welcomes children to play on its new playground. There is a section for younger children with a gate and there is a more open section with a large variety of fun climbing apparatuses for older children. The swingset is behind the younger children's playground. There are also large grassy sections to run around or throw a ball around.
A paved path that is perfect for scootering encircles the path, so we suggest having scooters available for the kiddos. It's also a nice way to stroll a baby to sleep while your older kids play. There are nice canvases that provide shade in a couple of sections which is great for really hot days.
There is a large live oak behind the pavilion/stage area that is fun to climb, and the stage area is a lot of fun for imaginative little ones who enjoy putting on impromptu performances.
Note: There are no bathrooms on site.
