After a long week, head to Vista, outside of Austin, and kick back.

Make time to meander out to Vista Brewing to relax with your family, friends or pup. Alternatively, if you happen to be in the area, pick up some goodies – you are encouraged, but not required, to order ahead. Vista is one of the best breweries, eateries, and places to sit back and relax outside of Austin city limits. It’s kid-friendly with farm animals to look for and playscapes to explore. Despite the farm animals, Vista Brewing is pet-friendly as well. 

For adults, the brewed on-site beer is a fan favorite and they always have some wine and cider options too. Vista also offers online ordering for to-go beer, wine, cider, and items from the brewery’s farm stand.

If you are craving barbecue, grab some hearty fare at The Salt Lick, also in Driftwood.

While you are in the area, go twenty minutes further to Wimberley and take a hike or cool off in the summer at Blue Hole Regional Park. Pioneer Town and the 7A Ranch Resort are also there, so you can plan to explore that area before making your way to Vista.
