Voyageur Brewing offers family-friendly dining along Minnesota's North Shore.
Families visiting Grand Marais will have no shortage of restaurant choices! One of the best family-friendly restaurants in Grand Marais is Voyageur Brewing. This is a great stop near the downtown area, no matter which season you visit. During the warmer months, there is a large patio outside for dining and an upper deck (drinks only). Inside, there is a spacious dining room that can accommodate large groups (up to eight to ten) and small families.
While parents enjoy their seasonal beer selection, kids can sip on lemonade, root beer, or water. There are no entree meals here. However, families can design their meals with the array of appetizers offered. Parents will love the Reuben egg rolls, Thai chicken tacos, or pulled-pork sliders. They also have family favorites like boneless wings, pub pretzels, and flatbread pizzas. A dedicated kids' menu includes yummy items like a cracker and cheese plate and a quesadilla. Mix and match your favorites for a scrumptious North Shore meal. Not only is Voyageur Brewing a great dinner option, but lunch or an afternoon snack is fun too!
While temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19, Voyageur Brewing also supplies family-friendly games for guests to enjoy while waiting for their food or to pass the time.
Families can find limited parking on-site and ample free street parking. It's also accessible by foot for anyone staying in the downtown area. The restrooms include changing tables. There are no high chairs or boosters available, but many tables accommodate stroller seating. After eating, down to Grand Marais Harbor to throw rocks in the water or to take in the view of the harbor lighthouse.
