Vui's Kitchen

I’m trying (somewhat successfully) to expand the palates of my 5 and 3.5 year old and I was happy to stumble upon Vui’s Kitchen in Berry Hill in this quest.  Cute atmosphere, great staff, and fresh and “approachable” (per website) Vietnamese food is what I found.  I got the Vegan Pho and my husband got the Bahn Mi.  Both were great.  Though there is no kids’ menu, I’d recommend the Pork Belly Bao Bun ($6) from the small plates section of the menu for little kids.  A couple of atmospheric high points:

1. Picnic tables outdoors with bright red tenting overhead with oversized outdoor lanterns
2. A grassy outdoor area for kids to run around in while we ate and talked
3. Jumbo jenga if you are up for a lawn game
4. Beer and wine menu is limited but adequate

Vibe is super casual (order and pay at the counter) with food delivery to your table.  Indoor section is small, so beware if there is bad weather.  It’s on a ~busy corner and looks out towards a gas station.
