Warner Parks Nature Center - a magical outdoor haven!
The Warner Parks Nature Center is a wonderful place to bring children to learn about nature and to hike around. The Center is a the starting point for a number of park hikes. There are also restrooms, maps, and exhibits – as well as a lovely covered porch with rocking chairs to take in the fresh air and view.
To the left of the visitors’ center, there is a nature pond (see frogs, newts, turtles), an organic garden, a wildflower garden / trail, a library (you can look up what you may have seen), and a large, covered pavilion with picnic tables.
My favorite spot is the nature playground – which is out to the right of the Nature Center. It has a small play cabin, a spider webbed rope to climb on, a sandpit for digging. You’ll see it by the sticks surrounding the area in the field.
Continuing on into the park, there is a fantastic creek to splash and play and explore in. And if that’s not enough, continue on for a hike in one of Nashville's most-loved parks.
Tips:
- Put in "Warner Parks Nature Center" on GPS as there are a couple of parking lots for Edwin Warner.
- Check events for the latest seasonal activities
