The property contains boxcars, a caboose, a gift shop, garden railway, models, dining car, baggage car, portable station, bridge tenders house, and the depot (built 1907-1908). The Museum moved into the depot building in 1989 and completed a restoration of the building. Check out the multiple displays while visiting: L&N Dining Car 2722, Globe Coffee House, a former Pullman sleeper car, renovated into L&N baggage-dormitory car 1652, L&N caboose 1148, Frisco caboose 1102, L&N box car 18050, and L&N flat car 21107.

One really great offering is that you can rent a dining car to hold an event or birthday party for up to 36 people. This is a fantastic idea to have a themed get together! Rentals are for 2-hour time blocks and are available for two parties on Fridays and Saturdays. Contact the museum for booking.

For anyone interested in trains and the local railway system, this site is great to really get a genuine feel for what it took to make the railway work in the 1800's and the advancements to date. Visits are free, but donations are encouraged. The museum is currently trying to raise $100,000 to renovate its facilities. Memberships are also offered and they are always looking for enthusiasts to help donate time and talent to keep the station in tip top shape!

Michelle was born in Ohio, but after studying in Australia for a year, she longed for a sunny beach climate. She has traveled to 23 countries and throughout the U.S., however her home for the last 25 years has been in Pensacola, FL. Michelle is a licensed private pilot who enjoys four-wheeler riding, boating, hiking, extreme couponing, cooking, and dining at ethnic restaurants. She has a master's from the University of West Florida and works as an Instructional Designer. Her volunteerism includes a program lead for a virtual middle school book club through her employer’s school partnership program. She currently lives on 23 acres with her husband and 6-year-old son who jointly care for their (very large) vegetable and herb gardens. Her family donates any over-abundance of produce to a local church who prepares meals for the homeless. Michelle’s family also includes three adult children (one set of twins) and three grandchildren. She can be found most weekends working on their property or out on a family adventure with one or more kids in tow!
