Sweet, Lesser Visited Neighborhood Park in Brentwood

Wikle Park is a 15-acre park in the heart of Brentwood on the west side of I-65 just off Franklin Road.  While it is much smaller than other alternatives nearby, the morning I visited there were very few people and a lot of open space.  The playground equipment looks really new and in very good shape.  There are a few covered picnic areas as well as a bathroom on-premises.  The paved pathway is great for walking, scootering, and biking.  There is tons of room for a picnic in the grass or to play a game or throw a ball.
