William Jeffrey's Tavern is a prohibition-inspired restaurant on Columbia Pike just a few minutes from Pentagon City.

The restaurant is very well designed and spacious with a variety of different styles of seating depending on your mood. There are daily food and drink specials, a great kids menu, live music scheduled regularly, and a very well-executed brunch. They have an amazing raw bar, and often grill oysters outside which is an amazing treat. They also have a convenient late-night menu with a great selection of their dishes. It's a perfect place to take the kids, catch a date night, meet up with groups for brunch, just kick back by the fire and have a drink or watch sports while you dine as a family, as there are many large screen televisions located throughout.

The restaurant is part of a family of five restaurants built by a team of local friends in Northern Virginia that include Rhodeside Grill, conveniently located between Courthouse and Rosslyn in Arlington, Ragtime in the Courthouse neighborhood in Arlington, Dogwood Tavern in Falls Church and the newest addition, Bear Branch Tavern in Vienna. The staff and atmosphere are consistently warm and welcoming.

There is a two-sided fireplace that successfully warms the ambiance even on the coldest days of winter and there is a spacious back room with a separate bar that is open on busy nights and also available to rent for private parties and events.

If you're looking for a nearby park to get some energy out, Rocky Run Playground is nearby and has a great big jungle gym. Arlington Public Library is also close if you're looking for some calm inside storytime.
