Willow Park is a hidden gem, tucked away in a residential neighborhood.

This is another fantastic park that I had no idea existed until recently! Like some other parks and nature sanctuaries we've reviewed lately, I felt amazed that we discovered this beautiful spot that we've no doubt driven by a million times. I think our family is just now starting to figure out how easily these great little outdoor spots can be accidentally overlooked. I'm glad we're discovering these spots now!

Willow Park was just right for us for an afternoon of connecting together outdoors as a family. The kids literally threw on their gear and were out the door so fast, I had to try to catch up! Now that's a good sign that they like the place!

The playground itself included plenty of nice, newer equipment, and certainly enough for the kids to be happy for some length of time. It wasn't the largest playground set-up we've seen, but neither was it the smallest. It had plenty of opportunities for sliding, climbing, swinging, and teeter-tottering. The teeter-totter was actually the girls' favorite item at this park, and it was a really odd one where the seats were actually diagonally-connected to each other. At any rate, they just loved it.

In addition to the playground, this park also offers such amenities as tennis and basketball courts, a softball field, and a bike trail.

One thing I really appreciate in this park, and others we've been reviewing is the proximity to conveniences, yet that feeling you get that you don't really feel like you're close to shops, etc. I really like that in a nature area or park. When it comes to getting around with littles in tow, hanging outdoors is so important, but so is finding a location that's convenient for you.

This park was a slam-dunk for our family! After enjoying some playtime here, head over to Aurelia's Authentic Mexican Food for some quick, delicious bites!
