What a great choice for camping in Yellowstone!

The Bridge Bay Campground on Yellowstone Lake is fabulous.  Thank you to the Dyrt App for the great recommendations and reviews that helped us find a great option. Be sure to reserve in advance or call earlier in the day to ensure you have a good option.

We scored a great camp spot in loop F (272) which had beautiful views of the lake. The site felt very private and we were situated next to the bathrooms (which is clutch with newly potty trained kiddos).

The main road runs between the lake and campsite but it was pretty quiet (plus the view makes up for everything - so pretty)!

If you’re a foodie, prepare early and bring your desired options. We love car camping because we can make a delicious meal while enjoying nature in all its glory (steak, pesto, sausages, burgers and s’mores all taste even better after a challenging day of movement when they are fresh off the grill).  While there are markets throughout the park, the options are on the simpler side.
