A memorable miniature train experience that is fun for the whole family!

Who doesn’t love riding a kid-sized train through Austin's most loved park? The Zilker Zephyr Miniature Train is a local HIT with toddlers and grown-ups alike. Riders get the opportunity to tour Zilker Metropolitan Park at a leisurely pace. The train passes Barton Creek, Town Lake (or “Lady Bird Lake”), and Barton Springs. You’ll go under a bridge, through the Zilker Park Playground (don’t forget to wave!) and even through a “spooky” tunnel with fake flames and bats inside in honor of the unique evening flight of the bats famous in the city of Austin.

If you’re lucky, you’ll be visited by “Woody,” a bearded man and Zilker staple, famous for entertaining train passengers with his guitar and harmonica combos (be sure to tip him if you have an extra dollar).

The Zilker Zephyr Miniature Train leaves every hour on the hour through the week and departs every 30-40 minutes on the weekends, weather permitting.
