Though I'm not a big enough foodie to plan travel based mainly on food, as I researched the food in Kansas City, I knew this place had to be a part of our game plan while in town. Comfort food is always fun, and it pairs especially well with hiking, biking, or any other outdoor adventures. When we visit a new place, we like to get outdoors, and that means fueling our bodies with hearty options. This place was great for fueling up for busy, active days. They also have plenty of simple, easy to love options for those of your fellow caregivers with picky eaters in the group.

Corner Cafe is a staple of the KC food scene and has been in operation for over 37 years. The atmosphere is warm and homey. This place has earned a reputation as being an inexpensive, family-oriented restaurant with great food. Our family was not disappointed! The food was delicious, and the portions were generous (always a bonus when feeding a hungry and active family), and the staff was really friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend any of their hearty sandwiches, as well as topping off your meal with a slice of their famous pie, or another fresh-from-scratch delight!!
