Delicious food and a family-friendly experience make Finnegan's Wake a pot of gold.

Located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, Finnigan’s Wake is a tavern featuring Irish fare and a wide range of microbrews and scotch from the bar. They offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night food as well as some vegetarian and gluten-free options. You can get classics like Shepherd's Pie, fried chicken, Guinness stew, fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, a burger, a Reuben, and a chicken sandwich or wrap. For vegetarians, Finnigan’s Wake serves a vegan sweet potato chickpea bowl, black bean cakes, a veggie version of Shepherd's Pie, pub mac and cheese, a vegetarian sloppy joe, a veggie burger, and several wraps or sandwiches. Don't forget the starters like Scottish eggs, chevre potato cakes, fried pickles, Irish poutine, chicken wings, and spinach and artichoke dip. For brunch, they are serving up specialties like French toast, artichoke benedict, salmon benedict, rasher, egg, and cheese croissant, and corned beef hash, to name a few.

The restaurant is spacious inside and has a large patio to enjoy the beautiful weather.  This restaurant gears toward adults, but you will find families with kids of all ages enjoying a great meal together. They host events throughout the year for New Year's Eve, Halloween, and, obviously, St. Patrick’s Day. Finnigan’s Wake gives back to the community by hosting a St. Baldrick’s Day fundraising event that has helped raise over $500k towards pediatric cancer research. They also contribute to many organizations in the community such as school supplies for WSFCS teachers, Spirit Gum Theatre Company, Project Pearl, March of Dimes NC, Forsyth Humane Society, and many more.

Finnigan’s Wake opened with the goal of helping revitalize Trade Street, creating a space where the community can come together and enjoy great food. They have certainly accomplished this. You can find them on Facebook, and Instagram @fwpubwsnc.
